Mamma Mia! Reviews- The actors on stage were motivated

The actors performing on stage were motivated, enthusiastic, creative, supportive and prepared for their task

The way that they presented Mamma Mia was phenomenal in terms of technical work. Clearly all cast members ranging from the supporting cast with very small roles to the main characters who have to memorize their lines due to their heavy involvement in the play. Another way that they worked in their performance was through their characterization, clearly the actors and actresses didn’t break character and portrayed their characters uniquely as it is adapted to a live adaptation of the musical movie and adjusted the character to become slightly comedic but this could have been done accidentally regarding crowd reaction. Their blocking was important as they were cautious as to not block each other as they were singing and acting they moved almost together as to prevent blocking issues that would have occurred during the musical. Their vocal work were top notch as well, without any cracks or any sway in their voices that could have happened with proper projection that clearly projected

Sofie- is a curious young woman about to become married and is curious on who her father is and she is a courageous, brave, daring young woman willing to do whatever it takes to find her answers.
Donna- she was trying to conceal the fact of her husband who ran away to Sofie and this shows that she is a strong woman to raise Sofie on her own and also be able to hide this fact from her due to her not wanting her daughter to panic about her father.

I emphathized with Sofie because of her constant desire for answers. She has a question in her life that she wants to know the answer to and for a long period of time she doesn’t know the answer even if she has a source that is close to her who isn’t willing to give her the answers that she was looking for. The same thing can be said for me

Mamma Mia is a story about a daughter named Sofie who is getting engaged and wants both of her parents to be there but she does not know who her father is. After reading through her mother’s diary she finds out that her mother had been romantically linked to 3 men in the past and she invites all 3 of them to her wedding and after a long conclusive decision they decide that rather than questioning who is the father that they will all act as 1/3 of their father.

Yes I met the challenge

The materials such as costumes, props, decorations, lighting and sound were all sufficient and also added to the dramatic element of the play. The lighting was creative with strobes and multi colorful variations. The music was created through an orchestra team that played while the play was going on, the set décor was not too complicated and consisted of 4 setups that were used effectively but could have been more diverse rather than changing lights and rotating the set décor to create a new place. The costumes were decent but did not have me convinced that it came from the specific time era the play was in.

The musical singing, the orchestra team score.

I would not do it differently except for the costumes to be researched in detail and I think that with its simplicity it was effective due to the actor’s amazing performances.

To be quiet and respect the performers while they are in action and to also turn off cell phones

The actors really connected and interacted with the audience for brief moments which created a real genuine connection that helped gain attention for the actors.

That the actors required to be able to sing in a certain range, be able to learn choreography and to be able to not break character whilst on stage performing multiple tasks at once which can be challenging
