Mamma Mia! Review- They Are Fully Prepared

The Mamma Mia! actors and actresses were all motivated, enthusiastic, creative and hilarious when they perform on stage. They are all fully prepared with their voice tone, acting, and memorization of their cast or role during their performance; they made no mistakes based on the scenes which include dancing, singing, and acting full of mixed emotions.

Memorization: They don't have to fully memorize their script, the easier way for them is to understand who their character is, the personality of their character, is he mean, kind, or complicated? If they know well about their character, it will be easier for them to memorize and understand their script.

Characterization: For this aspect, they can try to understand and know well about their character, but the best and easier way to know their characterization is to be the character, you are not your real self, but you are the character yourself. During the performance, actors and actresses think of themselves as their role or character so in that moment, they don't think of who they truly are in the real world, they think of the character as themselves in the real world.

Blocking: They tried their best to not do the blocking, which in definition is not showing their back to the audience during the performance. So what the actors and actresses do is to feel confident and act in front because blocking is also defined as not being confident to act in stage.

Vocal Work: For this aspect, actors and actresses vocalize by singing with songs in different kinds of notes ( C, D, E major and more) but the notes are based on how light or deep their voices are. They also have to try to sing loudly so the audience can hear their singing.

Movement: They worked their movements based on the emotions and expressions of the characters are in a certain scene. Like I said, they have to know well and be apart of their character to truly know how they act and feel around in the scenes on stage.

Sophie has a mind of curiosity and hard work, she never gives up to find what she wants to find. Donna is an independent and single mother, Sam, Harry, Bill, Sky, Rosie and Tanya

Sophie is my favorite character because of her curiosity on who her real father was between the 3 men who are Sam, Harry and Bill. She doesn't and never gives up to find or to discover who her true father was, and because of that she cancelled her wedding with her future husband, whom now is not named Sky.

There was a single and independent mother, Donna, who lived and owns in a small hotel in the Greek island with her daughter, Sophie, who was about to be let go by Donna because she is going to be married with Sky. Sophie had one wish during the wedding, which is being walked down the aisle by her father, whom she has not known. Sophie read her mom's diary and there are 3 men whom used to be Donna's ex lovers named Sam, Harry and Bill. Sophie sent a wedding invitation to the 3 men without telling her mother and as they arrived there, Donna was surprised and ran to her room, crying. Donna told the secret that she was uncertain to whom Sophie's real father is.

Yes, I met the challenge, and the challenge was the vocal work, blocking, and confidence.

Yes, I was fully satisfied with the costume,  props and lighting because they look so creative and hardly worked that I feel like we are really in the beaches and in the small hotel in the Greek Island.

The elements of drama that are important in Mamma Mia! performance are settings, character and plot. For the settings, the place is in a small hotel in the Greek Island, surrounded by beaches. For the character, all of them are both emotional and expressive based on the scenes in the play. Some may be sad, some may be in full of excitement.

Actually, i wont and will never do it differently because there is nothing better than the original Mamma Mia synopsis and performance.

What I learn about myself as an audience is to analyze more on how they express and emotionally act based on their separate roles, I also learnt that I should have confidence like the actors and actresses on stage.

Yes I enjoyed watching it in a stylized form/genre of the performance because they made it hilarious and without the jokes and fun they made in their performance, it would be very boring and nobody will be interested to watching the play anymore.

The actor-audience relationship was excellent, I would rate it a 10/10. My reason is because they made us excited and we all, as the audience, stood up and sing and dance in the ending. That moment was full of happiness and excitement.

I learn from Mamma Mia! about the skills of musical form is that you need a loud voice and sing loudly on stage. I need a high skill to sing with a voice that everyone would find interesting.
