Mamma Mia! Review- The Cast from Broadway Was Excellent

The Mamma Mia! that were performed by the cast from Broadway was excellent and the way they performed musical numbers while acting the scenes out was very creative. I can tell that their play was very well prepared and the audience can also feel the energy that the performers are feeling while they are performing.

The cast was very good in memorizing their script and they have a very good preparation. The cast also portrayed their characters in a way that the audience would instantly know that which actor is portraying which character. The blocking is also prepared correctly and the cast never shows their backs to their audience.

Sophie, Donna, Sam, Harry, Bill, Sky, Tanya, Rosie. Sophie is determined just like her mother Donna. Donna is anxious most of the time because she had to meet her exes at her daughter’s wedding.

My favorite character would be Sophie, because she was very determined in finding out who her father is and she was brave enough to invite her three possible fathers to her wedding.

In Mamma Mia! it tells a story about Sophie Sheridan, who is getting married to Sky but she is troubled by the thought of finding out who her father is. So then after reading her mother’s diary/journal she find out about three men named Sam, Harry and Bill, that could be her possible father. She secretly sent out three invitations, each invitation for each man. To her surprise, all three men came to her wedding and she tried to hide them from her mother. Unfortunately, her mother, Donna, saw the three men and had a nervous breakdown, in which her friends, Tanya and Rosie, calmed her down. Towards the end the men argued on who would give Sophie away and who would walk her down the aisle. The story ended with Donna marrying Sam after Sophie’s wedding was cancelled.

Yes, I was motivated to make a musical play just like Mamma Mia! and I wanted to find out how the Broadway prepared a musical play like it.

Yes, the props that were used in the play were very simple yet it was very useful. The props can be moved around and it is used in every scene by turning it around in different scenes.

In this play, the most important element would be the vocal work. If the actors has a low singing skill, the play would have a perfect result, thus it wouldn’t be a good performance.

I would make the story line a bit different and make it more dramatic than the actual play so that it would create an intense atmosphere for the audience who watches the performance.

As an audience, we have to keep our composure at all times and we cannot cause a trouble to the play that would disturb other audiences and the actors or performers in the play.

Yes, because the play was very unique and I’ve never had a chance to watch a musical drama performance.

I think that the actor transfers the aura of excitement from the play back to the audience and so everybody in the room also felt excited to see the play and watch what would be happen next in the scenes.

To perform a musical play such as in Mamma Mia!, the actor needs to have a high level skill in both their singing and their acting skills. The actors have to be able to sing while acting out a scene.
